EMT/Paramedics 12-Month Competency Certificate Program

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Paramedics play a vital role in patient care, emergency response, and public safety. Their ability to make rapid, informed clinical decisions can significantly impact patient outcomes during critical situations.

To support the professional development of emergency medical personnel, American Health has partnered with leading U.S. academic institutions to develop an intensive EMT/Paramedics Competency Certificate Program. Designed for practicing EMTs and Paramedics seeking advanced training and professional certification, this comprehensive program provides a focused refresher curriculum that prepares participants for the National Registry Examination (NRE) while offering the opportunity to earn a certificate from a U.S.-accredited university in as little as 12 months.

Program Structure

The program combines classroom instruction, laboratory training, simulation-based learning, and supervised clinical experience to ensure participants develop both theoretical knowledge and practical competencies.

The curriculum is divided into three progressive phases:

Phase 1: EMT Studies
Duration: 2 Months

Phase 2: Paramedic Studies
Duration: 8 Months

Phase 3: Clinical Internship and Competency Requirements
Duration: 2–3 Months

Upon successful completion of all academic, laboratory, simulation, and clinical requirements, participants will earn a university-issued certificate recognizing their achievement and competency in emergency medical services.
